Ruthie Willard

Graveside services for Ruthie Willard, 69, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Gene Hazell officiating.

Mrs. Willard was born February 14, 1947 in Joaquin, Texas to the late John Herman Bryan, Sr. and Livvie Elizabeth (Fonville) Bryan and died Friday, May 13, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Willard had resided in Angelina County since 1991. She was a homemaker who loved to crochet, do needlework, and travel. She was known for her Christmas candy. Mrs. Willard was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald Willard; sons, Gerald Willard Jr. and John Charles Willard; daughter, Karen Willard Harris; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Self and Kathy Parish; brother, John Bryan Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara Curbow; and nephew, Jacob Parish.
