Marilyn Edna Carlin

Funeral services for Marilyn Edna Carlin, 48, of Pollok will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Fenley officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Mrs. Carlin was born December 9, 1967 in Nashville, Tennessee to Charlie and LaVerne (Antrim) Deering, and died Saturday, April 30, 2016 in a local hospital. She had resided in Pollok for the past 17 years. She was a homemaker and attended the Dunn Chapel Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Steve Carlin of Pollok; children: Tiffany Taylor, Nicholas Basey, both of Pollok, Shelby Parker of Hudson, Jon Basey, Kimberly Adams and son-in law, Cody Adams, Kyle Carlin and daughter-in-law, Sammie Reynolds, all of Pollok; grandchildren: Blake Taylor, Cory Taylor, Aubree Parker, Kaleb Adams, Braiden Adams, Hagen Carlin, Braelyn Carlin, Karsyn Breward; mother, LaVerne Deering of Pollok; siblings, Sue Szikora and brother-in-law, Jerry of Valparaiso, IN, Garry Hessling and sister-in-law, Cindy of Ft. Myers, FL, Kathleen Andersen and brother-in-law, Ricky Higgins of Huntington. She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Deering. Pallbearers will be Kyle Carlin, Jon Basey, Tom Jones, Cody Adams, Emily Erwin, Albert Blalock and Nicholas Basey.
