Carolyn J. Derryberry

Funeral services for Carolyn Derryberry, 53, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Father Joe Kannampuzah officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Mrs. Derryberry was born August 5, 1962 in Brownsville, Texas to the late Johnnie A. Redding and Violet Lavine Fullen and died Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Derryberry, formerly of Highland, Texas, had resided in Zavalla for six years but owned a lake house in Zavalla for the past 25 years. She was a homemaker and a full time grandmother. She was a kind hearted soul. Mrs. Derryberry was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Derryberry,III of Zavalla; her children, Crystal Bryan and Robert Redding; grandchildren, Britnay Bryan, Savanne Turnbow, Nicco Benavidez, Janie Redding, and Dakota McGee; brothers and sisters, Wanda Smith, Wayne Simpson, and Brenda Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Robert Redding, Jamie Bryan, Ben Smith, Wayne Simpson, Jeffery McRaven, and Tommy Johnson.

Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington with visitation following from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (Youth Group), 1611 Feagin Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
