Donald Robert Bradley

Funeral services for Donald Robert Bradley,84, of Zavalla will be held Friday, April 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Mr. Bradley was born June 10, 1931 in Teague, Texas to the late Jack and Jo Kate Bradley and went to be with his loving and patient Savior on April 15, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mr. Bradley, formerly of Houston, had resided in Zavalla since 1986. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Hughes Tool Company, after 37 years, and in 1986 moved to Lake Sam Rayburn where he loved to fish and do woodworking. He was previously a Deacon of St. Peter Lutheran Church, but most recently a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother, Gary and wife Lena; son, Andy and wife April; very special friend, Marge Cammack; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren (who knew him as PaPa Don), and step-children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara; and his son Dan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Hospice, 517 Gaslight Blvd., Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family would like to recognize and thank Chad Noyes and Celeste Janak from Harbor Hospice for the loving support and care they provided to our family during this difficult time as well as the nursing staff at Woodland Heights Hospital.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home in Huntington.
