Funeral services for Willie “Jackie” Liles, 86, of Lufkin will be held Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Lamar Denby officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Liles was born June 16, 1929 in Decatur, Mississippi to the late A.B. Morris Wall and Mary A. (Motley) Wall, and died Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in a local hospital. Formerly of Marshall, she had resided in Lufkin for 50 years. Mrs. Liles loved her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Michael Liles, Kim Valentine Jones, and Stephen Liles and wife Susan, all of Lufkin; granddaughters, Kristin Valentine, Chelsea Evans and Tatum Liles, all of Lufkin; great-grandson, Kaeson Valentine of Lufkin; close family friend, Irene Hadley of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike K. Liles; and son-in-law, Cary Jones.
Pallbearers will be Jason McGaughey, David Mikeal, Clark Wood, Shane McDuffie, Ryan Jefferson, and Arthur Hackney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Court Perry, Mark McLin, Jason Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds, and Stephen Hill.
The family extends special thanks to Bethany Home Health for their excellent care of Jackie.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon prior to the services.
