Joyce was the daughter of the late Clyde and Lorene (Hooper) Shirley. She was born in Clarita, Oklahoma October 29, 1940.

A talented artist, Joyce taught oil painting classes for 10 years, and enjoyed 5 wonderful years of riding motorcycles with Don when they both called it "real retirement". In addition, Joyce was a loving wife for 56 years; a generous, nurturing supermom and best friend, and a beloved grandmother and Nana.
Joyce is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Shirley, her husband, Donald R. Vice, and her son, Donald "Donnie" Vice. She is survived by her daughter and "son"-in-law, Louise and John, her granddaughter and her husband, Sandra and Seth, and two great- grandchildren, Felicity and Jakob. She will also be missed by a large circle of friends.
