Graveside services for Beth Minshew Hodges, 75, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Stephen Lantis officiating.

Ms. Hodges was born November 16, 1940 in Gadsden, Alabama to the late Roland William and Ida LaVonia (Edge) Minshew, and died Saturday, March 5, 2016 in a Houston hospital.

Ms. Hodges had resided in Lufkin since 1955. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Memorial Health Systems of East Texas where she was a House Supervisor. She was a great nurse. Ms. Hodges was known for her desserts, especially her cheesecake. She enjoyed fishing and taking trips to Shreveport.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Eric and Sandy Parker of Hudson and Brad Parker of Lufkin; granddaughters, Morgan Parker of Hudson and Taylore Elliott and husband Marc of Houston; grandsons, Tim Stahl and wife Kerry of Montclair, New Jersey and Dorian Stahl of Austin; great-granddaughters, Caelyn Stahl of Montclair, New Jersey and Abigail Elliott of Houston; great-grandsons, Caleb Stahl of Montclair, New Jersey and Hayden Elliott of Houston; brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy Minshew of Etoile and William and Kathy Minshew of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Robert Norwood of Boaz, Alabama; brother-in-law and partner, Robert Barbe and Silvia Arnold of Lufkin; special friends, Stella Wheeler and Pat Banks, both of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benny Hodges; son, V. Glenn Parker; and sister, Faye Barbe.

Pallbearers will be Clint Cook, Reagan Minshew, Brian “Mo” Oliver, Cody Oliver, Scott Barbe and Jason Cook.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Crisis Center of East Texas, P.O. Box 510, Lufkin, Texas 75902.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
