Patsy L. Nichols

Mass of Christian Burial for Patsy L. Nichols, 67, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Joe Kannampuzha officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Bellwood Cemetery, in the Bellwood Community of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Monday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Nichols was born December 19, 1948 in Natchitoches, Louisiana to the late Hoyt and Eula (Prothro) Parker, and died Saturday, February 27, 2016 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Nichols had resided in Lufkin for more than 10 years, and had previously resided in Woodville and Corrigan. She played the piano beautifully, and enjoyed playing, listening to, and collecting all kinds of music. She was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Nichols of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerrod and Teri Nichols of College Station and Jason and Tracy Nichols of Diboll; grandchildren, Brittney Nichols, Cristyn Nichols, Hunter Nichols, Sawyer Nichols, and Holt Nichols; uncle, Johnny Prothro of Shreveport, Louisiana; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Adrian Parker and William “Buddy” Parker.

Pallbearers will be Ralph Nichols, Jerald Nichols, Niles Nichols, Hunter Nichols, Sawyer Nichols, Holt Nichols, Noah Nichols, and Austin Nichols.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 1611 Feagin Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Carroway Funeral Home, before and after the Rosary.
