Graveside services for William “Bill” Crow, 87, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan with Brother Keith Burnett officiating.
Mr. Crow was born March 24, 1928 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to the late Alva Luther and Leola Jane (Spears) Crow, and died Thursday, February 25, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Crow had resided in Lufkin since 1963. He was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Crow was a cable engineer for over 25 years. His passion was being a classic country DJ for KSPL and KRBA, which he did for 45 plus years, both professionally and voluntarily.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Annie Lois Crow of Lufkin; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Crow of Amber, Oklahoma, Harold and Debbie Crow of Lufkin, and William Crow, Jr. of Lufkin; daughters and son-in-law, Tammy and Gary Kleinik of Diboll and “Taylor” Mary Crow of Dallas; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Burton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Carol Yates.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
