Graveside services for Cozetta Faye Watson, 84, of the Beulah Community will be held Monday, February 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Sonia Bonner and Chris Wells officiating.
Mrs. Watson was born August 17, 1931 in Rains County, Texas to the late William Edward and Lurlene (Pounds) Childers, and died Friday, February 12, 2016 at her daughter’s residence in Lufkin.
Mrs. Watson resided in the Beulah Community most of her life. She retired from Lufkin I.S.D. She loved the outdoors. Her passions were her grandchildren, fishing, gardening, and cooking for her family and friends. No one ever went away hungry. Mrs. Watson was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Bobbie and Mitchell O’Neill of Lufkin and Janice Parks of Beulah; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Debbie Watson of Pollok; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Tuter Camp of Diboll; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband of almost 67 years, William Bob Watson; son-in-law, Neville Parks; brother, William “Junior” Childers; and sisters, Virginia Nell Pickle and Ozema Childers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon at the cemetery, prior to the services.
