Joe Paul Henderson

Funeral services for Joe Paul Henderson, 56, of Pollok will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Denman Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Moats officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska.

Mr. Henderson was born March 8, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Tandy and Bessie (Landrum) Henderson, and died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mr. Henderson was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. He was a Telecommunications Administrator at Etech, Inc. Mr. Henderson was a student of the Bible. He had a gentle spirit and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed a close relationship with his neighbors. Mr. Henderson was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Susan Henderson of Lufkin; sister, Deborah Caples of Austin; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Boudreaux, Kevin Boudreaux and wife Nina, all of Lufkin, Kendra Hicks and husband Tim of Georgetown, Wendy Minshew and husband Wesley of Dallas, Arron Henderson and wife Marlana of Fountain Inn, South Carolina, and Brad Henderson of College Station; and “Little Bit”, his faithful companion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister and brother-in-law, Lessie and John Boudreaux.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
