Funeral services for Dennis Wayne Modisette, 65, of Diboll will be held Friday, February 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Stephen Willis and Brother Troy Christmas officiating. Interment will follow in the Sims/Rocky Hill Cemetery. Mr. Modisette was born October 20, 1950 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Leonard and Velma Dee (Palmore) Modisette and died Saturday, January 30, 2016 in a local hospital. Mr. Modisette was employed as a Bio-Med Technician at the Methodist Hospital in Houston for the past 10 years. He loved hunting, fishing, working in the yard, singing, and spending time with family. He was a Deacon and the assistant song leader at the Fuller Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Cassandra “Sandy” and Troy Christmas of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Rebekah Modisette of Splendora; son, Keith Modisette, 2nd Class Petty Officer, U.S. Navy, stationed at Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan; grandchildren, Austin Christmas, Jordan Modisette, Kyle Christmas, Jacob Modisette, and Chloe Christmas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Collis and Joy Modisette and Kenny and Jeanne Modisette all of Pollok; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by parents and his wife, Patsy Cates Modisette. Pallbearers will be Austin Christmas, Brent Modisette, Wade Modisette, Jared Clark, David Clark, Joe Clark, Victor Garcia, and Nick Terry. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Christmas, Jacob Modisette, Josh Clark, Brett Burnett, Russell Daniel, Randy Matthews, Dennis Wilson, and the men of Fuller Springs Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Fuller Springs Baptist Church, 5003 Fuller Springs Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
