Porchia Lee (Colwell) Escobedo

Funeral services for Porchia Lee (Colwell) Escobedo, 50, of Alba will be held Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jesus Reyes officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery. Mrs. Escobedo was born July 11, 1965 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Charles Ray and Ruby Lillian (Goodman) Colwell, and died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in a Tyler hospital. Mrs. Escobedo had resided in Alba for over 25 years. She loved watching Maury, reading, cooking and baking, and enjoyed helping other people. She adored her grandson. Mrs. Escobedo was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Antonio Escobedo of Alba; children, Ruby Escobedo, Adrian Escobedo, Adam Escobedo, Antonio Escobedo, Jr., and Isabel Escobedo, all of Alba; grandson, Noah Rodriguez; sister, Kathie Krch of Friendswood; and a number of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents. Pallbearers will be Antonio Escobedo, Jr., Adam Escobedo, Adrian Escobedo, Juan Luna, Eddie Ray Guevara and Ramiro Mulato. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening and from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon prior to the services.
