Monette' Peppard Sanders

Funeral services for Monette’ Peppard Sanders, 47, of Huntington will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Lamar Denby officiating, with music by JoAnna Denby Sheffield. Interment will follow in the Sims (Rocky Hill) Cemetery.

Mrs. Sanders was born July 1, 1968 in Houston, Texas to Joseph J. Peppard and Barbara Peppard. She died Thursday, January 14, 2016 in Houston, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Sanders was a lifetime resident of Huntington. She graduated from Huntington High School and earned a Masters Degree in Counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. She was presently the Huntington Elementary School Counselor. She sincerely cared for the children. Mrs. Sanders was presently a leader in Angelina County 4-H, member of the Go Texan Committee, and member of the Brahman Breeder Association. She was involved in showing cattle, goats and rabbits. She helped many young boys and girls with their animal projects. Mrs. Sanders was a member of Highway Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roger A. Sanders of Huntington; beloved sons, Jennings Davis Sanders (16) and Turner Joseph Sanders (10), both of Huntington; parents, Joe and Barbara Peppard of Huntington; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph, Jr. and Cynthia Peppard of Huntington; nephew, Carlos Joseph Peppard of Huntington; parents-in-law, Donald and Shirley Sanders of Huntington; and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Donna and Michael Downing of Huntington and Christine Thomas of Commerce.

She will be missed by a host of friends, too numerous to mention.

Pallbearers will be Delbert Reynolds, Bobby Boles, Steve Milligan, Monte Ramsey, Johnny Due and Chris Moss.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chip Hart, Dale Childress, John Davidson and Carl Ray Polk.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Angelina County 4-H Scholarship Fund, 2201 S. Medford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901 or Highway Baptist Church, P.O. Box 272, Huntington, Texas 75949.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
