Eddie Marcell Doyen Kornegay

Funeral services for Eddie Marcell Doyen Kornegay, 70, of Pollok will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jeff Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Sand Flat Cemetery. Marcell was born June 13, 1945 in Chinquapin, Texas to the late Eddie Everett and Ethel Mary (Loggins) Doyen, and died Saturday, December 19, 2015 in a local hospital. She resided in Angelina County most of her life. Marcell was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Brent “BC” Kornegay of Pollok; sons and daughter-in-law, Ronny Kornegay and children Seth and Zack of Pollok, Randy Kornegay and children Jessica and Dustin of Huffman, and Brent and Angel Kornegay and children Kyley, Payton and Delaney of Deer Park; daughters, Donna Roddy and children Amanda, Jared and Joshua of Huffman and Brenda Kornegay and children Sonya and Keith, Sheryll, and Chad of Portland; mother of Seth and Zack, Shelly Holland; great-granddaughter, Jaselynn Sage Kornegay of Pollok; brother and sister-in-law, John and Nell Doyen of Rebecca; sisters, Marie Darr of Silsbee and Betty Diffey of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Retta Risinger and Virgie Lee “DD” Bradshaw; brothers, Raymond Doyen and Lennis Doyen; and daughter-in-law, Susan Kornegay. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Sanches, Terry Diffey, Dwayne Risinger, Tim Jones, Glenn Bradshaw and Russell Doyen. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Risinger, Robert Doyen, Billy Peveto, Jamie Peveto, James Loggins and Ralph Loggins.
