Barbara Dell Gresham

Funeral services for Barbara Dell Gresham, 85, of Pollok will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Mrs. Gresham was born May 26, 1930 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Henry Morgan and Sylvia (Nesmith) Basham, and died Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Corpus Christi. Mrs. Gresham retired from Sears following 29 years of employment in various Texas locations. She and her husband were avid bluegrass music fans. He played the guitar and she was the socialite who kept everyone connected. Mrs. Gresham was a Christian of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Judy L. Howe of Corpus Christi; granddaughters, Mistee Gail Tucker of New Braunfels and Ashlee Tenile Swartz of Corpus Christi; great-grandchildren who lovingly called her Ran Ran, Sara Elizabeth Tucker, Claire Abigail Tucker, both of New Braunfels, Weston Alan Howe, Colson Dane Swartz, and Ashton Blake Holleman, all of Corpus Christi; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bennie Gordon Gresham. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
