Peggy Francene Draper

Funeral services for Peggy Francene Draper, 68, of Lufkin will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Draper was born September 18, 1947 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Calvin Morris and Mary Evelyn “Toye” (McMullen) Hubbard, and died Thursday, December 17, 2015 in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Draper was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She was a 1966 graduate of Huntington High School, and graduated from Allred Business School. She retired from Texas Foundries as a Production Control Clerk. Mrs. Draper was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and had served as Sunday school teacher and choir director for various churches. She went on three missionary trips to Brazil. Mrs. Draper loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Draper of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kelly Ray of Pollok; daughters and sons-in-law, Jane Ann and John Mann of Bellaire and Jaime and Jeremy Johnson of Pollok; son, Manse Draper of Lufkin; grandchildren, Ashlee Ray, Jordan Hooker, Joshua Hooker, Samantha Hooker, Harris Mann, Wyatt Mann, Breinon Tobias, Madelyn Johnson, and Jeremy Johnson II; niece, Gina Hale of Plano; and special friends, Julia Smith, Margie Wilson, Helen Mays, Suzanne Crawford, Charles Chambliss and Linda McClain.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Patsy Hubbard Hale.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Johnson, Breinon Tobias, Joshua Hooker, John Mann, Manse Draper and Jordan Hooker.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
