Thomas Lee Tynes

Memorial services for Thomas Lee Tynes, 57, of Lufkin will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Spirit Freedom Fellowship Church with Pastor Mike Allbritton officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Tynes was born April 8, 1958 in Pasadena, Texas to Wysonda (Collier) Tynes and the late William Hiram Tynes and entered through the gates of heaven Sunday, December 6, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Tynes had resided in Lufkin since 1969. He was a TX DOT mechanic for the Texas Department of Public Safety. He was the best loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time fishing, camping, being with his family and friends, and doing anything he could to help family and friends. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Freedom Fellowship church.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Becky Tynes of Lufkin; son, Toby Hatfield of Waxahachie; step-son and daughter-in-law, Jeb and Stephanie Barnett of Diboll; step-daughter and son-in-law, Alisa and Billy Kirkland of Lufkin; step-daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Russell Weyard of LaGrange; 11 step-granddaughters; 1 step-great-grandson; 1 step-great-granddaughter; mother, Wysonda Tynes of Lufkin; half-sister, Rebecca Dearing of Lufkin; brother, William Tynes of Ferris; brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Teresa Tynes of Lufkin; numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Monday morning prior to the service at Holy Spirit Freedom Fellowship Church, Ellis Avenue, Lufkin, Texas.
