Funeral services for Alma LaVerne “Vernie” Kehaulani Tullos, 73, of Apple Springs will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Marvin Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Trinity County. Mrs. Tullos was born September 3, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii to the late Paul Barry, Sr. and Sarah Ann (Aiwohi) Barry, and died Friday, December 4, 2015 in Houston, surrounded by friends and family. Mrs. Tullos had resided in Apple Springs for 45 years. She was a homemaker and a Sales Associate for Walmart. Mrs. Tullos was a former Little Dribblers coach in Apple Springs and was known in Apple Springs for her community involvement, particularly her babysitting and child care. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Roy Tullos of Apple Springs; daughter, Serena Tullos of Bentonville, Arkansas; brothers, Paul Barry and Verlyn Barry, both of California; sister, Rose Davidson of California; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, William Billy Moore; and brothers, Dave Barry, Skip Barry and Bucky Barry. Pallbearers will be David Hildebrand, Gaylon Rodrigues, Larry Turner, Brad Turner, Devin Turner and Katlin Turner. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
