Guadalupe R. Perez

Mass of Christian Burial for Guadalupe R. Perez, 81, of Diboll will be held Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Ariel Cortez officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Perez passed away peacefully Monday November 16, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was born January 21, 1934 in Lyford, Texas to Patricio and Petra (Cavazos) Perez. He married Hortencia August 5, 1955, later moving to Diboll, Texas where they raised their six children and three of their grandchildren. Mr. Perez retired after working most of his career at Temple Inland.

Mr. Perez loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing the accordion and taking walks with his wife.

We are blessed that he was in our lives. He was a good provider and an amazing protector. Mr. Perez lived a happy and simple life. We thank you for all the love and wisdom you gave us.

Mr. Perez is survived by his wife Hortencia, children Ramiro, Diana, Guadalupe, Jr., Gilberto, Patricio, and Luis, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Hector Perez, Guadalupe Perez, Jr., Oscar Perez, Pedro Nava, Pablo Perez and Cisco Perez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Vargas and Jay Perez.

Today we thank the Lord for a man, father, grandfather, husband and son that lived with honor.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones beginning at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home, and then following the Rosary until 7:00 p.m.
