Sammy Lynn Goldberg

Graveside services for Sammy Lynn Goldberg, 47, of Lufkin will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gann Cemetery with Brother Kenneth Reynolds officiating.

Mr. Goldberg was born March 23, 1968 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Paul and Carolyn Ann (Poe) Goldberg, and died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Goldberg was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. He had worked for Angelina Manufactured Housing and Evans Mobile Home Service. He was a hard worker and a true friend who was loyal to the end. He was a good father to Zachery. Mr. Goldberg was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his son, Zachery Goldberg of Lufkin; sisters, DeDe Gonzalez and husband Horacio and Malinda Bonilla, all of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lisa Figueroa.

Pallbearers will be Zachery Goldberg, Virgil Rich, Horacio Gonzalez, Tommy Hollingsworth, Logan Nair, Scott Harper, Jonathon Smith and David Antley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Winthrop, Damien Young and Bradley Bonds.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon at Carroway Funeral Home.
