Debra (Ivy) Pierce

Funeral services for Debra “Debbie” Ivy Pierce,62, of Huntington will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Darryl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Mrs. Pierce was born August 9, 1953 in Houston, Texas to Ted and Barbara Ivy, Sr. and died Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Huntington.

Mrs. Pierce loved her animals and artwork. She enjoyed painting and embroidering. She worked as a clerk in various stores in the area and was a member at Huntington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Wade Pierce, Jerold Pierce and wife Sue Anne of Huntington; daughter, Holli Pierce Richardson and husband Adam of Houston; grandchildren, Chasity Pierce of Etoile, Olivia Pierce Arnold and husband Greg of Camp Pendleton, California, Nathaniel and Gabriel Richardson of Houston, Jade and Phoenix Pierce of Huntington; sister, Mindy Berss and husband Ken of Deer Park; brother, Ted Ivy, Jr. and wife Desiree of LaPorte.

Pallbearers will be Wade Pierce, Jerold Pierce, Ted Ivy, Jr., Ken Berss, Adam Richardson, and Cody Carter.

Honorary pallbearer will be Darin Vaughn, Bryan Buentello, and Jack Ivy.

A special thank you to Hospice in the Pines, Huntington Health Care, and Dr. L. Pinnamaneni for the kindness and love that was shown to our mother and daughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon prior to the service at the funeral home.
