Danny Lee Mason

Funeral services for Danny Lee Mason, 63, of Lufkin will be held Friday, October 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stephen Forrest officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Mr. Mason was born February 27, 1952 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Robert Orville and Bertha (Starr) Mason, and died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Mason had resided in Lufkin most of his life. He worked for Loggins Construction and various construction companies in the area, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Zavalla. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Dawn Mason of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Lisa Mason, D.J. and Alexis Mason, and Jeff and Jonanna Mason, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Amber Montes and husband Cody, Aaron “Buzz” Mason, Abby Mason, Emmaleigh Mason, and Jaxson Mason; great-grandson, Noah Montes; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alberta Rhodes, Judy Mason, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Brenda and John Engle of Lufkin, and Sandra and Leo Munoz of Houston; his grand-dogs, Quag, Ozzy, and Zep; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Perry Mason. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
