Mr. Reynolds was born April 13, 1946 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Riley Medford and Virgie Ettmay (Singleton) Reynolds and died Thursday, October 1, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Reynolds had resided in the Nacogdoches and Lufkin area most of his life, but had recently moved to Tomball. He retired after twenty-three years of service from R&R Donnelly as a Forklift Operator. Louie was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan who also enjoyed the Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks. He found joy in fishing, BBQing, and taking trips to the casinos after retiring. But his greatest joys were his grandchildren, they were his pride. He was always willing to lend a hand, and could fix anything. He was a kind man with a big heart who liked to keep the peace; people always looked up to him. Survivors include his wife of forty-two years, Helen (Smith) Reynolds of Tomball; sons, Wayne Reynolds and wife Terrie of Magnolia, Steven Reynolds and wife Sue of Katy, and Jimmy Reynolds of Tomball; grandchildren, Christiana, Dustin, Bethany, Emma, Bella, Megan, Lesley, and Emily; sisters, Pat Wilkerson of Pennington and Carolyn Simmons and husband Mike of Huntington; brothers, Perry Reynolds and wife Rita of Channelview and Virgil Reynolds and wife Kim of Lufkin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Mary Smith and Charles (Bull) and Helen Smith all of Lufkin; and sister-in-law, Annie Alfred of Lufkin. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Kevin Reynolds; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Sarah Reynolds; brothers, John Reynolds, Reagan Reynolds, Bill Reynolds, and Vernon Reynolds; nephew, Don Reynolds; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earsie and Rosa Lou Smith; brother-in-law, David Alfred; nephews, Samuel David Alford, Jr. and Thomas Bubba Smith. Pallbearers will be Cindi, Betty, Jennifer, Cathy, Mary, Robin, Angie, Renee, Melony, Marla, Melissa, and Ann. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Owen and Kenneth “Screw Driver” Jones. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
