Sherri Dail (Simms) Mccathern

Funeral services for Sherri Dail Simms McCathern, 45, of Lufkin will be held Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Poage officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. McCathern was born January 12, 1970 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to the late Jack and Margie (Whitton) Simms and died Thursday, October 1, 2015 in Lufkin.

Mrs. McCathern had resided in Lufkin all of her life. She was a homemaker, a wonderful wife and loving mother who was full of life and always looked for the good in everyone. She was a member of Clawson Assembly of God. She will be truly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas “T.A.” McCathern of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Veronica McCathern of Shreveport, Louisiana; son, Perry Stephen McCathern of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Aaron Flowers of Hartsville, South Carolina; granddaughter, Addy McCathern; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Regina Simms of Lufkin; mother-in-law, Sarah Hanna of Lufkin; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother David Simms.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Burnett, Kelly Harris, Elwin Lamon, Aaron Cook, Kenny Simms, and Collin Richard.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
