Funeral services for Henry Charles “Charlie” Budjenska III, 66, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerome Brimmage and Dr. Ernest Boamah officiating. Mr. Budjenska was born October 21, 1948 in Dallas, Texas to the late Sarah (Corbin) and Henry Charles Budjenska, Jr., and died Monday, September 21, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Budjenska had resided in Lufkin for the past eight years. He was formerly of the Plano and Sherman area. He was employed by Stewart Systems as a Mechanical Engineer for fifteen years. He was an avid fan of his daughters, Rebecca and Rachael, playing their soccer games. He carried on his tradition with Hank and Rich by coaching their soccer teams in Sherman. He loved his puppies, Cooki and Cream, and looked forward to their walks. Mr. Budjenska was a big supporter of Olford’s ATA and the Boy Scout Troop #121. He was an excellent swimmer, he loved to read, play guitar, and could even tap dance. He was a worldwide traveler with his job. He often volunteered at the CISC Food Bank. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Susan Haas Budjenska of Lufkin; sons, Henry Charles “Hank” Budjenska IV and Richard Howard “Rich” Budjenska, both of Lufkin; daughters, Rebecca Joy Budjenska of Dallas and Rachael Grace Budjenska of Howe; grandchildren, Mikayla Lea, Seth Lea, Cacee Lueb, and Dylan Lueb; sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Howard Minckler of Mesquite; brothers and sisters-in-law, Staff Sgt. Gerald and Gay Budjenska of Glendale, Arizona, and Colonel Patrick and Donna Budjenska of Montgomery, Alabama; mother-in-law, Sara Haas of Lufkin; sisters-in-law, Sally Haas and Crystal Vega, both of Frisco; nieces, Georgia and Tatom; and nephews, Joey, Gerald, Rodger, and Jase. He was preceded in death by his parents. Honorary pallbearers will be the Boy Scout Troop #121. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scout Troop #121, c/o First United Methodist Church Lufkin, 805 E. Denman Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901, or the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
