Charlotte K. Risenhoover

Funeral services for Charlotte K. Risenhoover, 87, of Lufkin will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lesly Wilkinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Mrs. Risenhoover was born April 26, 1928 in Beuthen, Germany to the late Emil and Helena (Laska) Sobiech, and died Thursday, September 10, 2015 at her residence. Formerly of Corrigan, she had resided in Lufkin for eight years. Mrs. Risenhoover was a member of the Corrigan Order of the Eastern Star #631 and the Damascus Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, John Risenhoover of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Kathy Risenhoover of Lufkin; granddaughters, Jessica Talley and husband David, and Julia Risenhoover, all of Lufkin; grandson, Jason Risenhoover of Lufkin; brother, Peter Sobiech of Germany; sisters, Edith Samatiz and Anna Ohl, both of Germany; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ruth Sturman. Pallbearers will be Jesse Nash, Larry Green, David Talley, Jason Risenhoover, Billy Glover and Terry Cartwright. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
