Mike Hathorn

Memorial services for Mike Hathorn, 67, of Wells will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Wells with Reverend Josh Luellen officiating.

Mr. Hathorn was born April 27, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Silvin and Gladys (Sessions) Hathorn, and lost his battle with cancer Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in a local hospital.

Mr. Hathorn resided in Wells most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Maintenance Department of Abitibi Paper Mill. Mr. Hathorn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wells.

Survivors include his sons, Michael Hathorn and Brandi Dotson, and Clay Hathorn and wife Brandie, all of Wells; grandchildren, Justin Hathorn, Jacie Hathorn, Jenna Hathorn, Presley Hathorn, Hayden Hathorn, Jentry Hathorn, Jake Hathorn, and Jay Hathorn; sisters, Silvia Ricks and husband Bill of Lufkin, and Janet Martin and husband Kent of Wells; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Mitchell Hathorn.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
