Memorial services for Charles Albert Riddle, 63, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ty Phillips officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Riddle was born April 12, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to Shirley Ann (Killebrew) and Albert Riddle and died Monday, August 24, 2015 at his residence in Lufkin.
Charlie served his country from 1970-1975 in the Vietnam War. He was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Oriskany. He received an honorable discharge in 1975. Charlie loved cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all kinds. He also liked to rebuild and trade cars. Charlie lived life to the fullest and anyone who knew him knew he would help anyone at anytime. He was a devoted father and loved his grandchildren. Charlie’s two favorite places on this earth was the ocean and the mountains.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, KC and Brittany Riddle of Tabiona,Utah; grandchildren, Kiaya, Blaine, and Elaina Riddle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Allan and Kim Riddle and Richard and Vicki Weeks; brothers, Claude Riddle and Frankie Riddle; sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa and Michael Fulton and Debbie and Larry Williams; sister, Mona Weeks-Havard; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Riddle Weeks and Albert Riddle; step-father, Raymond Weeks; brother, Morris Weeks; and sister-in-law, Kathi Riddle.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service Thursday evening at the funeral home.
