Michele (Lonis) Duff

Funeral services for Michele (Lonis) Duff, 48, of Pollok will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cross Timbers Cowboy Church with Pastor Ford Adkins and Brother Harold Seago officiating. Interment will follow in the Stryker Cemetery in Corrigan.

Mrs. Duff was born September 3, 1966 in Houston, Texas to Janet (Haverland) and the late Billy James Lonis, Sr., and died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Lufkin.

Mrs. Duff had resided in Lufkin most of her life. She was a Commercial Loan Processor for the last 15 years at Huntington State Bank. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren. Michele lived her life to the fullest. She found the positive in everyone and they all knew she loved them. She loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband of thirty years, Darryl; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Dustin Dorcz of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Darryl “Bubba” and Joslyn Duff of Greenville; four grandchildren, Haylie Dorcz, Madyson Dorcz, Braxton Dorcz, and Karsyn Duff; mother, Janet Lonis Gregory of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Nora (Lonis) and Dwain Vail of Pollok; nephews, Jesse Vail and Wyatt Vail; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Billy James Lonis, Sr.; brother, Billy James Lonis, Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, McCoy and Joyce Marie Duff.

Pallbearers will be Mike Poldrack, Jesse Vail, Wyatt Vail, Roper Brooks, Trey Campbell, Perry Don Henson, Daniel Stephens, and Jeff Stephens.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
