Sherry D. Owen

Graveside services for Sherry D. Owen, 77, of Lufkin will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas with Pastor Roy Love officiating.

Mrs. Owen was born May 30, 1938 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Faye (Meechum) and Dudley Morris, Sr., and died Monday, August 10, 2015 at her residence.

Mrs. Owen had resided in Lufkin for more than 20 years and previously owned Texas Industrial X-Ray in Houston with her husband Jerry Owen for 30 plus years. She loved genealogy. Mrs. Owen was of the Baptist faith and was a devout Christian.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Kennon Anderson of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, John and Cindy Owen of Seabrook; grandchildren, Christine Anderson, Kennon O. Anderson, Brett Owen and Julia Owen; brother, Dudley Morris, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Patsy Peckham of Bellaire; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Owen; and brother, Charles Morris.
