Sonia Lee Horton

Funeral services for Sonia Lee Horton, 58, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ford Adkins officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Ms. Horton was born May 6, 1957 in Aurora, Colorado, and died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in Lufkin. She had resided in Lufkin for more than 30 years. Ms. Horton was a registered nurse. She enjoyed hunting and riding her Harley, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. Horton was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughter, Skylar Horton and Chris Buster of Lufkin; granddaughters, Madilyn Buster and Makenzie Buster; parents, Ray and Marlene June (Madel) Eden of Lufkin; sister, Sharon Havard of Lufkin; brother, Dwayne Eden and Teresa Bennett of Lufkin; nieces, Brandy Dunkin of Lufkin and Desireé Slatter and fiancé John Williamson of Nacogdoches; nephews, Michael Skates and wife Ashley and Jeremy Havard and fiancée Haley Smith, all of Lufkin; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; uncle and aunt, Leon and Beverly Eden of Lufkin; other relatives in Michigan and England; and a host of friends. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
