Linda Westbrook

“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31:28 Funeral services for Linda Westbrook, 67, of Pollok will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Cowart, Brother M.L. “Bud” Magee, and Pastor Keith Woolf officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery. Mrs. Westbrook was born May 18, 1948 in Lufkin, Texas to Jack and Billie (Daffern) Crawford, and died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in a local hospice facility. Mrs. Westbrook was a lifetime resident of Pollok. She retired from the Lufkin State Supported Living Center following 28 years of employment. Mrs. Westbrook was a faithful and active member of O’Quinn Baptist Church, and thoroughly enjoyed her special Wednesday evening cooking sessions with friends. She was a true prayer warrior with literally hundreds of names handwritten in her prayer journal through the years. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Bob Westbrook of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Bud Boles of Pollok; grandson, Colton Boles of Pollok; granddaughter, Katelyn Boles of Pollok; mother, Billie Crawford of Pollok; brothers and sister-in-law, Kevin and Susan Crawford of Hudson and David Crawford of Pollok; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Gwyn Westbrook of Pollok; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Crawford; and parents-in-law, Harold Lee and Dorothy Westbrook. Pallbearers will be Kevin Westbrook, Roy Westbrook, Ryan Westbrook, Reid Westbrook, Rory Westbrook, Pete Thompson, Curtis Rye and Kenny Modisette. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
