Justin James - Lee "Scooba" Mariana

Funeral services for Justin James-Lee “Scooba” Mariana, 22, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ryan K. Hall officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home. Justin was born October 22, 1992 in Ventura, California to Donna and Mike Mariana and died Sunday, July 19, 2015 in Lufkin. Justin had resided in Lufkin for 20 years. He was a Central High School, Class of 2011, graduate. He worked for Etech in Lufkin and Polk’s in Central. Justin was also involved in Civil War Reenactments. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, cooking, his turtles, and “Scooby-Doo”. He never met a stranger and loved his family. Survivors include his parents; sister, Carrie Reed of Livingston; brother, Michael Mariana of Lufkin; grandmother, Eloise Lauenstein of Diboll; niece, Rylea Reed of Livingston; aunts, Beth Mariana, Sharon DeLema, and Lynn DeLema, all of California; uncles, David Lauenstein and wife Michelle of California, James Mariana and wife Lorelei of Oregon, Anthony Mariana and wife Susan of Utah; and numerous cousins, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Lee Lauenstein, Jr. and James Jean Mariana; and grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Klavinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Mullins, Zack Mullins, Nick Vineyard, Daniel Martin, Sean Wetherell, Brady Hooker, Scotty Ratcliff, J.T. Wetherell. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
