Funeral services for Bro. Marvin “Red” Hawk, 80, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Poage and Bro. Pat Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery. Bro. Hawk was born November 25, 1934 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Annie Mae (Moore) and R. D. Hawk. He died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at his residence. Bro. Hawk had resided in Lufkin most of his life. He had worked more than 26 years for Coca-Cola as a production manager, and then more than 22 years for Georgia-Pacific as a chemical technician. Bro. Hawk also ministered as an evangelist for more than 50 years. He was one to never stop learning and studying, particularly at Angelina College. He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God and Clawson Assembly of God, and previously served as youth pastor in both churches. Bro. Hawk enjoyed hunting, but more than anything, he loved working with youth. Survivors include his wife, Pat Hawk of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jerry Ryan of The Woodlands; son and daughter-in-law, Garland and Regina Hawk of Lufkin; children, Barry and Cheryl Malone, Robby and Melony Malone, all of Lufkin, and Taryn and Chad Fiebiger of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Rhonda Ryan of Houston, Robyn and Doug Kishbaugh of Albuquerque, Greg and Lisa Ryan of Seattle, Washington, Chris Hawk, and Caleb Hawk, both of Lufkin, Wesley and Megan Malone, Greg and Rachel Williamson, all of Kingwood, Bryce Malone of Austin, Meagan and Clint Webb of Pollok, and Carter, Marlie and Graeson Fiebiger of Albuquerque; six great grandchildren; sister, Louise Jones of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Brother Hawk was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Norma Jeane Hawk, in 2005; grandson, Bradley Sherrard in 2009; and seven brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Joe White, Roger White, Ronald Willmon, Robert Willmon, Royce Willmon, and Randy Thigpen. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Forrest and Tom Watson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Youth Ministry of your choice. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
