Triston Hunter Conway

January 16, 1996 — July 8, 2015

Triston Hunter Conway, a beautiful young man inside and out, left this earth and was welcomed into his eternal life in Heaven on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas. He was 19. Triston was born on January 16, 1996 in Lufkin. He was a proud Lufkin Panther and graduated from Lufkin High School in 2014. Triston was an artistic and gifted musician with natural talent; he played trombone with the LHS Panther Band while in high school and most recently was a member of the Angelina College Swingin’ Roadrunner Jazz Combo. He was currently a Freshman attending Angelina College majoring in music, with plans to become a music teacher. Triston had an amazing heart that was pure; he did not meet a stranger and was a friend to so many. He never had an unkind word to say about others. Triston loved the Lord with all his heart and attended Harmony Hill Baptist Church. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2005. He is survived by his parents, William David and Wendy Sexton of Lufkin; fiancée, Cellie Nettles of Diboll; brothers, Zackary Conway and David Sexton, Jr. both of Lufkin; his sister, Grace Sexton of Lufkin; grandmothers, Barbara Sexton of Lufkin and Sheryl Hamilton of Huntington; great-grandparents, Vernice and Onetta Roebuck of Huntington; very special aunt, Khristi Sexton of Lufkin; aunt and uncle, Russell and Tonia LaForge of Huntington; uncle, Timothy Hamilton of Huntington; loving cousin, Andrew Day of Huntington; best friend Joseph Sumrall of Lufkin; as well as numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Triston was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William E. Sexton and Carson Wayne Hamilton. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Scott Foster and Pastor Leo Lytle officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Sumrall, Adam Williamson, Justin Hamilton, Justin Lester, Timothy Hamilton, and Kevin Hight. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the "Triston Conway Memorial Fund" at any Capital One Banking location.
