Funeral services for Mary O. Tittle, 98, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Hillier officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Tittle was born January 1, 1917 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Mamie Gertrude (Taylor) and Bennie Madison Smith, and died Thursday, July 2, 2015 in Lufkin. Mrs. Tittle had resided in Angelina County all of her life. She taught for Lufkin I.S.D. at the Trout Elementary Campus for 60 years including substituting after her retirement. She had a Bachelors Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She was a faithful member of The Central Church of Christ Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Camille and Ralph Langevin of Tennessee; son and fiancée, Dr. Ben Tittle and Nance Ludowski of Dallas; four grandchildren, Chris Langevin, Regan Langevin, Jackson Tittle, and Molly Tittle; sister, Bennie Jo Wylie of Houston; two nephews and three nieces; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of 64 years, Jack Tittle; and sister, Laurette McKewen. Pallbearers will be Jackson Tittle, Dr. Reagan McKewen, Dr. Taylor McKewen, David Lively, Corey McKewen, and Louis Torres. A special thanks to PineCrest Retirement Community and staff for their loyal devotion to Mary. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon prior to the services.
