Funeral services for Maxine Trahan, 84, of Lufkin will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Brother Jim Housley officiating. Entombment will follow in the Sunset Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Trahan was born August 24, 1930 in Hightower, Texas to the late Ellie Mae (Elliott) and David Crockett Pate. She died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Trahan had previously been employed for 10 years as the manager of Big Star Grocery and had lived in Lufkin since 2001. She was also a homemaker and a beloved mother and grandmother. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis R. and Tamara Trahan of Lufkin and Dwayne A. and Lori Trahan of Riverside, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Jennifer Wilson, Shannon Wilson, Jeremy Wilson, Ashley Wilson, David Trahan, Joshua Trahan, Sara Trahan, Stephanie Rogers, Dwayne Trahan, Jr., Lisa Dodson, Domanick Trahan, and Samantha Owen; fifteen great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Trahan was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Walter David Wilson and Robert Hal Wilson; grandchild, Dennis Edward Trahan; and sisters, Willie Raye Gregory and Rena Nutt. Pallbearers will be Michael Wilson, David Trahan, Joshua Trahan, Dwayne Trahan, Jr., Carlton Nutt, Grant Gregory, Jr., and Mayburn Greening, Jr. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at the funeral home.
