Jo Ann Pyle Mott

Jo Ann Pyle Mott went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her residence in Lufkin. She was born July 25, 1925 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Ida Ruby (Lively) and Jehu S. Pyle. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mott was a retired Secretary to the Vice President of Lufkin Industries following 10 years of service, and had lived in Lufkin for 49 years. She attended Business School for two years. Mrs. Mott enjoyed music, gardening and remodeling. She was a member of Carpenter’s Way Baptist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Leslie and Rodger Medley of Santa Clara, California, Steve and Debra Mott of Lufkin, Lisa and Edward Chan of Diamond Bar, California, and Laurie and Kenny Wood of Lufkin; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Arthur R. and Shirley Mott of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe Lester Mott; and two sisters.

The family extends special thanks to the staff of Hospice in the Pines, for their care and compassion.
