Funeral services for Glenda Ann “Sister” Pyle Quine, 65, of Ratcliff will be held Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Buddy Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Zion Cemetery in Houston County.
Mrs. Quine was born July 18, 1949 in Beaumont, Texas to Annie Marie (Brock) Pyle and the late James Herschel Pyle, and died Thursday, June 25, 2015 in a local hospice facility. She had resided in Ratcliff for 17 years.
Her first love was Jesus Christ and her second love was her husband. She also loved her family and friends dearly. Her love for nature was unlimited. She loved music and sang praises to her Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Rayford H. Quine of Ratcliff; mother, Marie Pyle of Lufkin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Shirley Pyle and James and Kathy Pyle, all of Huntington; sister and brother-in-law, Jerri and Tommy Crawford of Ratcliff; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Beverly Pyle of Fairfield, Ann and Tom Rainey, Linda and Joe Don McClendon, and Brenda and Dave Vansickle, all of Lufkin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and her precious baby beagle, Peaches.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Herschel Pyle; and brother, Donnie Pyle.
Pallbearers will be Cody Pierce, Archie Reeves, Kevin Wisener, Brian Page, James Abshire, Shannon Payne, and Kolton Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Thompson, Bobby Thompson, Pete Thompson and Michael Pyle.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
