Hector Trevino, Sr.

Mass of Christian Burial for Hector Trevino, Sr., 80, of Diboll, will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Raymundo Garcia, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery in Diboll.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.

Mr. Trevino was born December 9, 1934 in Mexico and died Friday, June 12, 2015 in a Lufkin hospital.

Mr. Trevino was a retired sawmill operator for Temple-Inland and a longtime resident of Diboll. He was a very friendly man, a great mechanic and handyman, and loved helping people. Mr. Trevino was the town friend – “El Amigo Del Pueblo.” He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Beatriz Trevino of Diboll; son and daughter-in-law, Hector Trevino, Jr. and Dawn Trevino of Houston; daughters and sons-in-law, Maria Beatriz Lopez of Houston, Aida Archer of Virginia, Anna Delia Trevino and Albert Holmes of Lufkin, Rosa Elia Garcia of Diboll, and Maria Guadalupe and Manuel Chagolla of Diboll; seventeen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Guevara and Margarito Trevino; three brothers; and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Hector Trevino, Jr., Jose Lopez, Jr., Sergio Fuentes, Angel Moran, Christian Trevino, Christopher Garcia, Manuel Chagolla, and Juan Jose Villanueva.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2118 Lowry St., Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home prior to the Rosary.
