Paul Wayne Whinery

Funeral services for Paul Wayne Whinery, 51, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother John Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery near Rusk, Texas in Cherokee County. Mr. Whinery was born November 28, 1963, in Lufkin, Texas to Marvin Lee Whinery and Gladys (Tullis) Whinery, and died Monday, June 1, 2015 in Lufkin. Mr. Whinery resided in Lufkin all of his life. He formerly worked as a self-employed carpenter. Paul was a GODLY man loved by many and an avid outdoorsman. He was a member of the Lighthouse of Prayer Ministries. Survivors include his wife, Monia of Lufkin; daughter, Krystal Whinery of Lufkin; parents, Marvin and Gladys Whinery of Lufkin; brothers, Chris Whinery, Louie Whinery, Coy Whinery and Michael Whinery; brothers-in-law, Mike Sullivan, Terry Wheeler and Eric Kolb; sister-in-law, Rhonda Allen; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary and Bobby Reeves; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Tony Langston, Curtis Lawson, Justin Walker, Mason Wheeler, Brent Bostic, Joe Renfro, Doug Erbey and Brandon Bozeman. Honorary pallbearers will be Braden Wheeler, Casey Erbey and Gerald Davis. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
