Funeral services for Estelle (Colwell) Reeves, 95, of Huntington, Texas will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ty Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Reeves was born December 25, 1919 in Angelina County, Texas to M.H. (Mathie) Colwell and Minnie (Stuart) Colwell, and died Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Huntington.

Mrs. Reeves worked as a packer for Frito Lay and retired with 30 years of service. She was formerly a resident of Pasadena for 35 years. She loved to hunt, fish and crotchet. She was a member of First Ora Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, Alvin Reeves and girlfriend Donna Hetzler of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Rodney Allen of Huntington; grandchildren, Sonny Reeves of Perth, Australia, Vicki Reeves of Pasadena, Jason and Donna Holtzclaw of Huntington, Stormi Holtzclaw of Huntington; step-grandchildren, Brittny and Josh Davis of Lufkin, Kandis Allen of Apple Springs, and Brandi Allen of Apple Springs; great-grandchildren, Cade and Destiny Holtzclaw, Heather Holtzclaw, Autumn Unsell, Kylie Unsell, Zane Unsell, Daniel Reeves, Kayla Reeves, Cassidy Homan, Shannon Homan, Rae’ann Homan and Hadley Davis; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Nell Colwell of Buna. She was preceded in death by her parents, M.H. (Mathie) and Minnie (Stuart) Colwell; husband, Mayford Reeves, brother, Bill Colwell; sisters, Hazel Barnett and husband Leroy, Mozel Clark and husband Elton, Nela Mae Myers and husband Byron, and Lucille Patry; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Smith and Betty Reeves, C.W. and Judy Reeves, Annie Pearl and Bid Stilson, and Ellen and Robert Ridgeway, and great-great-grandson Angel Joseph Reeves.

Pallbearers will be Alvin Reeves, Rodney Allen, Sonny Reeves, Jason Holtzclaw, Cade Holtzclaw and Dr. Don Colwell.

The family extends a special thanks to Hospice in the Pines, Dr. Glenn and to Mrs. Reeves’ special providers, Sammie and Joyce, whom she loved to play dominoes with.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
