Zion Joseph Salvato

Funeral services for Zion Joseph Salvato, 14, of Hudson will be held Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Clawson Assembly of God with Pastor Kenneth Reynolds and Austin Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Zion was born January 25, 2001 in Lufkin, Texas to Jason Scott Ward and Labaysha Ann Salvato, and died Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Lufkin.

Zion resided in Hudson all of his life. He was a student at Hudson Middle School. Zion loved music and entertaining and loved people. He was a member of Huntington Assembly of God.

Survivors include his mother, Labaysha Salvato of Hudson; father, Jason Scott Ward of Beaumont; brother, Isaiah Stephen Maggard of Hudson; grandparents, Joe and Diane Salvato of Lufkin; grandparents, Gerald and Lynda Ward of Lufkin; aunt and uncle, Charity and Eric Whisenant of Lufkin; uncle, Josiah Salvato of San Antonio; aunt and uncle, Elizabeth and Dustin Deckard of Santa Fe, Texas; and numerous cousins and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Joe Salvato, Josiah Salvato, Luis Garza, Eddie Loyd, Eric Whisenant and Jerry Maggard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Isaiah Maggard and Tim White.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Clawson Assembly of God.
