Funeral services for Warren A. DuBose, 80, of Lufkin will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jim Salles and Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. DuBose was born October 11, 1934 in Bronson, Texas to the late William Amos DuBose and Addie M. (Marshall) DuBose, and died Thursday, May 28, 2015 in a local hospital. Mr. DuBose resided in Lufkin most of his life. He was the retired owner of W.A. DuBose & Son Ford Tractors and Lufkin Power Sports. Mr. DuBose was also involved in multiple other business ventures as well as the pioneer of the logging industry in East Texas. He was a member of Little Flock Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Patricia DuBose of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Glenna DuBose of Fairfield; daughter, Elisa DuBose Looney of Fort Worth; son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. “Bobby” and Barbara DuBose of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Larry McWilliams of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Misty DuBose, Clint DuBose, Misty Sutton, Buster Sutton, Dr. Hunter and Amber Looney, Amanda and Brett Osterkamp, Jennifer and Tom Bates, Tracy and Erica Rounsavall, Shannon Rounsavall, Justin and Della DuBose, Jason DuBose, Brandon and Megan McWilliams, Heather and Charlie Ramsey, Alaina McWilliams; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Colton, Tyler, Grant, Blake, Carter, Preslee, Evan, Addison, Georgia, Wyatt and Waylen; sister-in-law, Joyce DuBose of Beaumont; brother-in-law, Chuck Morrison of Fairfield; sister-in-law, Linda Smith of Diboll; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, William DuBose; sister, Christine Burton; brother, Bill DuBose. Pallbearers will be Dr. Hunter Looney, Clint DuBose, Justin DuBose, Brandon McWilliams, Jason DuBose, Tom Bates, Brett Osterkamp, Charlie Ramsey and Buster Sutton. The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Woodland Heights Medical Center and to Southland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, and also to Dr. Cooper Buschemeyer and Dr. Joey Koch. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tennessee 38148-0142 or to a charity of your choice. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
