Funeral services for Jeffrey D. Reid, 56, of Edmond, Oklahoma will be held Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Myrton Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mr. Reid was born October 22, 1958 in Columbus, Georgia to David H. Reid and Evelyn Alberta (Danley) Reid, and died Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Oklahoma City. Jeffrey was a web designer for G.W. Exotic Zoo in Wynnewood, Oklahoma for five years. He enjoyed music, technology and working with the animals at the zoo. He had a special place in his heart for his two dogs, Lulu and Maggie. Survivors include his fiancé and loving companion, Jackie Taylor of Edmond, Oklahoma; father and mother, David and Sue Reid of Lufkin; mother, Evelyn Alberta Reid of San Antonio; daughters and sons-in-law, LeighAnne Reid, Jennifer Olivo and Arbelio Perez, Jessica and Lombardo Mendoza, Jr., all of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Anna, Cristian, Gisele, David, Lombardo III, and Elicio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tami Reid, Kristy and Joe Thompson, all of Lufkin; brothers and sister-in-law, Keith Reid of San Antonio, Michael and Colleen McKnight of Lufkin; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members. Pallbearers will be Casey Jones, Mark Reid, Don Horn, Michael McKnight, Joe Thompson. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
