Janice Glaze Penn

Graveside services for Janice Glaze Penn, 71, of Hudson will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Largent Cemetery with Jesse Jenkins and Dennis Abernathy officiating.

Mrs. Penn was born September 30, 1943 in Big Spring, Texas to the late Joe Glaze and Jessie (Robertson) Glaze, and died peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence in Hudson, on Thursday, May 28, 2015.

She resided in Hudson for most of her life and formerly lived in Tarzan, Texas. Mrs. Penn was a homemaker and a member of Timberland Drive Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Mike Penn of Hudson; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Stephanie Penn of Hudson; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Brent Slatter and Kody and Codie Jenkins, all of Hudson; grandchildren, Wade Penn, Ben Penn, Mikah Slatter, Claire Slatter, Paul Slatter, Levi Slatter, Cason Jenkins, Eli Jenkins, Riley Jenkins, and Easton Jenkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Georgia and Eldon Welch and Nancy and Sammy Yates, all of Tarzan, Texas; sister, Linda Nichols of Seminole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Luke Slatter.

The family invites friends to attend an hour of prayer, praise, and worship on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Timberland Drive Church of Christ, 912 South Timberland Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
