Connie Madden

Funeral services for Connie Madden, 66, of Nacogdoches will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park Sunset Mausoleum. Mrs. Madden was born September 5, 1948 in Ganado, Texas to Robert and Mary Frances (Hubenak) Olsovsky, and died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at her residence. Formerly of Lufkin, Mrs. Madden had resided in Nacogdoches since 1998. She owned and operated Connie’s Beauty Shop in Lufkin. Mrs. Madden loved reading cookbooks and cooking. She enjoyed country music and collecting Tiffany items. Mrs. Madden was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Loyal Madden of Nacogdoches; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and James Brazil of Nacogdoches; granddaughters, Alisha Windham, Ashlee Brazil and Heather Brazil, all of Nacogdoches; grandson, Jim Brazil of Lufkin; foster parents, Fred and Joan Hood of Simsboro, Louisiana; sisters, Effie Simicek of Ganado and Eileen Brown of Victoria; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; foster grandparents, Sid and Alvis Hood; sisters, Mary Novak, Lonie Hollis and Willica Thomas; and brother, Robert “Bobby” Joe Olsovsky. Pallbearers will be James Brazil, Dewain Brazil, Travis Brazil, Gary Brittain, Monty Hollis and Colton Collins. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
