Carolyn (Beasley) Sherrer

Memorial services for Carolyn (Beasley) Sherrer, 80, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Clay Westbrook officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sherrer was born September 16, 1934 in Angelina County, Texas to Clarence Barton and Oleta (Smith) Beasley, and died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Sherrer was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She retired as a data base coordinator from Lufkin Industries following 26 years of service. Mrs. Sherrer was a super supporter of her children and grandchildren. She loved painting, reading her Bible and mysteries, crossword puzzles, cooking, gardening and Facebooking. She loved her church, Woodlawn Baptist Church, where she had been a member for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Conni Weaver of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Bart and Donna Sherrer of Mt. Enterprise; and grandchildren, Kevin Dew, Kody Sherrer, Larkin Weaver, Lucas Weaver and Daniel Sherrer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sydna Sherrer.
