Catherine Harbuck

Funeral services for Catherine Harbuck, 76, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Mark Livingston and Brother Jerry Browning officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Harbuck was born November 11, 1938 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Albert and Lula (Hill) Hoya, and died Saturday, May 9, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Harbuck resided in Lufkin most of her life. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and taught for 28 years, at Massey Business College and Zavalla ISD. She was a member of Keltys First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Otis Harbuck of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Jennifer Harbuck of Livingston and Joe and Lisa Harbuck of Lufkin; granddaughters, Meagan Kirtley and husband Travis, Morgan Harbuck, all of Lufkin, and Jenny Harbuck of Livingston; grandson, Steven Harbuck of Livingston; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Joyce Hoya of Corpus Christi; sister-in-law, JoAnn Rhodes of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Elsie Wayne Hoya. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
